Welcome to Goldleaf Needlework, we are a small cross-stitch business based in Hull, East Yorkshire, designing our own range of cross stitch kits and charts, as well, as supplying the full range of DMC kits. Coming soon, we will be stocking DMC threads too!

Our range includes two wonderful collections by artists Vanessa Wells and Genny Haines. Vanessa's fun range of Well... Cats have proved very popular with cat lovers so far, as have Sam and Peeps by Genny, don't miss their debut in World of Cross Stitching magazine. (Issue 187)

I hope there is something for all abilities from beginners to more experienced stitchers. All our designs are available as kits or in chart form, so you can choose which best suits you. Our kits include presorted threads, but we don't include an instruction sheet. It seems a bit of a waste if you know what you're doing but if you are new to cross-stitch I am happy to send one or feel free to print them off the instruction page.

The standard kits come with the fabric colour and size stated, but I am happy to change it for another fabric where possible. I like stitching on coloured fabrics, especially black, but understand it can be difficult on evenweave if your eyesight isn't so good, so please just ask.

The charts are all printed on A4 paper, we have recently changed to black and white charts  but if you still prefer a coloured chart please say in the customer comment box when you order. As a rule I don't use an overlap if it goes on to more than one sheet, if you would prefer one or would like the chart on a larger scale I am happy to print it for you.

If there is something you are specifically looking for please ask, we will do our best to track it down for you.
You can e-mail me at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. or contact me through the forum. If an item is not in stock it should give a despatch time in the product details, we do our best to update the website daily.

Any feedback or suggestions are always gratefully received especially if you notice any not so deliberate mistakes on the charts or problems with the website.

Have fun stitching,
